Y Caban Reviews

"Amazing Peace & Tranquility!"

This was our first time here and we have loved it! The peace & tranquillity of the garden is amazing and we wish we could take a bit home with us! It has been so relaxing watching the birds, and the red kites flying over and the dragonflies by the pond.
Also the bunnies and bats. The cabin is cosy and inviting and the fire is amazing! We would definitely recommend it to others and hopefully will be back in the future!
Thanks for letting us have a little slice of heaven for a week!

"Perfect peace & tranquility!"

This is a perfectly peaceful place. We’ve enjoyed the surroundings and the occasional visit of a hungry heron. Y Caban is perfect for 2 people and a dog, excellent facilities.
We are sure to return. Many chats to our attentive hosts, who gave us good advice about surrounding walks and a surprising piece of history!

"Kingfisher on pond, Dolphin & Chough nearby!!"

We have had a fantastic week staying in y Caban. Visited all our favourite places & seen dolphins and Chough. Have also spent plenty of time in this lovely place, enjoying the gardens & grounds and all the wildlife in it. We have been lucky to see the kingfisher on the pond and a fox on the path in front of y Caban. Thank you Norma & James for such a lovely place to stay. See you soon!

"Another incredible holiday!!"

Yet another incredible holiday in Y caban. Perfect in every way. Thank you so much Norma & James for your hospitality & making our stay so special, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
Honey loves it too, the freedom she has here is second to none. It’s a joy to see her run around the grounds. Heron on the pond most evenings. Would recommend same days out as Abby & spencer but also the beach at Cwmtydu which is quite special if you want to sit, relax & enjoy the sea. If you enjoy fish & chips I would recommend the lime crab in New Quay, fresh fish to order. It will be very difficult to leave this little bit of paradise tomorrow, Can’t wait to return!

"All you need is here!!"

Our 2nd visit because we absolutely love it here. Wonderful hosts always friendly & welcoming. Y Caban is all you need & more, so very peaceful, abundant wildlife. Would recommend Rheidol Steam Railway, Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge, Mwnt beach, our favourite beach ever! Definitley recommend the Dolphin spotting trip “A Bay to Remember” we have done it twice over the last 2 years & s aw dolphins both times (plus a peregrine falcon chick this time!)
Thanks Norma & James , we love Y Caban, all we need here, thanks for the welshcakes & flowers, Slept so well again! Saw a herom most mornings on the pond, early around 6am
Thanks so much, sad to leave

"Birdsong, Tranquility & Views from every window!"

Thanks you Norma & James for your warm welcome and the use of your beautiful cabin. I loved the views from every window and will miss all the birdsong & tranquillity.
The walk through the woods to Llangrannog (one of my favourite places) was lovely. So good to be somewhere so secluded but still able to leave the car behind.
Would recommend Mwnt for stunning scenery, end of the world type feeling. Cwmtydu is another favourite of mine. Excellent pizzas (and cake) at Tafell a Tan in Llangrannog. Beach café good for fish & chips. My pooch Poppy & I had many happy hours on our pop-up tent on the beach!

"Perfect peaceful escape!"

Such a peaceful place, it has been just what we needed to take time away from the fast lane of life.
We have enjoyed walking form the cabin to Llangrannog and Cwmtydu so could have some car free days. Saw some dolphins when walking the coastal path from Mwnt. Teifi Marshes nature reserve is interesting and would recommend. The gorge walk to Cilgerran is energetic!
Thanks Norma & james for the use of a comfortable & secluded base for exploring.

"What a lovely escape!"

What a lovely cabin and setting. What a lovely welcome from James & Norma, particularly the fired-up woodburner. The cabin was spotless & had everything you could need, home from home.
My border collie had the best time too! Although exploring the pond whilst I was unpacking the car made for a wet muddy start! We did the walk from here to Cwmtydu beach & it was a lovely trip. Not too strenuous and the sun was out! Sad to leave, think I could live here!
